An important boundary, stated plainly.

What does NOT create an attorney-client relationship

  • Reading this website or its guides and checklists
  • Submitting a title order, quote request, contract upload, escalation, event registration, or contact form
  • Creating a portal account
  • Receiving title, closing, escrow, or settlement services from Milestone Title, Co.
  • Emailing, calling, or texting our team

How one IS formed

An attorney-client relationship with Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A. is formed only when the firm expressly agrees in writing to represent you, after a conflict check, with a defined scope of engagement. Until then, do not send information you consider confidential, and do not rely on any communication as legal advice.

Title services and legal services are separate

Milestone Title, Co. performs title, closing, escrow, and settlement functions only — it does not provide legal services or legal advice. In a closing, the title/settlement agent facilitates the transaction and does not represent either party as their attorney. Where this website notes that attorneys supervise our title operations, that supervision is an operational quality control internal to the title company — it does not make the law firm your counsel, and it does not make the law firm a provider of title services.

If legal services become necessary in connection with a transaction, they are not automatic and are not included in title or settlement charges: they must be procured separately and directly from Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A. — under that firm's own written engagement, for additional fees determined by the firm — or from any attorney you choose.

Two separate entities — deliberate legal separation

Milestone Title, Co. and Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A. are separate entities with separate services, engagements, records, and responsibilities. Each entity is solely responsible for its own acts, omissions, and services; neither entity assumes, guarantees, or is liable for the services or obligations of the other. Their affiliation is disclosed openly across this website; that disclosure describes a relationship between independent firms, not a combined practice.
