The core disclosure
Participation in Milestone Realtor resources — the Realtor Command Center, checklists, education, events, portal tools, spotlight features, and community programs — is NOT conditioned on referring title, settlement, closing, or legal business to Milestone Title, Co. or Muroff, Milestone & Milestone, P.A.. No compensation, rebate, credit, gift, or thing of value is paid or provided for the referral of settlement-service business.
Why we operate this way
Federal law — RESPA Section 8 (12 U.S.C. § 2607) and Regulation X (12 C.F.R. § 1024.14) — prohibits giving or accepting anything of value under an agreement or understanding that settlement-service business will be referred, and provides that a referral is not a compensable service. Florida's title insurance rules likewise prohibit inducements for the referral of title insurance business. We do not build programs that flirt with those lines: there is no 'send a closing, get a reward' anywhere in our ecosystem, and there never will be.
What our programs ARE
- Educational resources and events open to real estate professionals without any referral requirement
- Workflow tools (ordering, tracking, checklists) that make transactions smoother for everyone involved
- Any sponsorships or co-marketing, if undertaken, priced at fair market value for actual services or advertising received — never tied to referrals
- Spotlight or feature opportunities governed by objective criteria and disclosures, never by referral volume
Consumers always choose
Buyers and sellers are always free to select their own title, settlement, and legal providers, subject to their contract's terms. If a real estate professional recommends us, we hope it is because of the work — and this page exists so everyone can see there is no other reason.
